#1 – Sports Interaction App
Sports Interaction was the first licensed sportsbook and casino in the country and they continue to be the leader. Their platform is solid and has a huge range of Canadian sports to bet on as well as other sports from all around the world. That’s alongside, in our opinion, the best mobile casino in Canada!
- Fast and secure depositing and withdrawal methods.
- Great design, excellent navigation and easy bet placement.
- Dedicated 'live betting' section for last minute bets on major sporting events.

#2 – Bet365 App Canada
Bet365, a well-known worldwide bookie who are happy to accept customers in Canada!
We checked out the bet365 app and found it to have a great range of markets and sports to bet on. It’s a real headline app in our opinion and was a very close second in our best betting apps scoring. Sports Interaction just edged it as they are Canadian based, but if you’re looking for an alternative the bet365 could be the app for you.
How to get the app
As with all the apps on this list, you’ll need to install the mobile site as a web app. You can do this by heading to the mobile homepage and then tapping the browser menu and “Add to home screen”. This will appear on your app screen with the bet365 logo and you’ll be able to get straight to it with just one tap.
As bet365 are based in England you may have some questions about using them, we’ve tried to cover them here.
Are bet365 legal in Canada?
As they are offshore based you’ll have no issues signing up and registering with bet365 (correct at the time of writing, subject to change at any time). You’ll just need to be over 18 to register and have a suitable method for depositing and withdrawing money.
Can I watch live streams on the app?
Customers of bet365 can watch live streams of various sports from around the world. There are restrictions on what you can watch from which countries – You’ll need to check the bet365 website to see the details of what is streaming where you are.
#3 – WilliamHill.ca App
Hills are another global player in the gambling industry and have been accepting customers in Canada for a long time. Their mobile platform runs on the same software as their European and US-based operations giving you a quality betting app.
The William Hill app has all the sports you could ever want to bet on and is well designed. Navigation on the app is simple and you can find the most popular sports via the quick links at the top.
The app has all the banking options that you would expect, quick deposit functions available on selected methods. You can also access any parts of your account in the “my account section”. This includes all your recent bets and will show you the outcome of the bet, or each let of your bets if you’ve put a Parlay on.
#4 – Intertops App
Intertops have been online for over 20 years and that experience gives them a real edge in sports wagering. The Intertops mobile app has been around for a good few years and has evolved into the excellent app it is today.
The quality of the app is backed up by an excellent customer service team. If you need to get in touch with them then you can do it by E-Mail, live chat, phone or even Skype. They’ll help you out with any questions about betting, but we couldn’t get them to give us any tips!
Once you’ve installed the web app from above then use the icons at the top of the home page to find the sports you are looking to bet on. There are links to Basketball betting, NFL, MLS betting, MLB betting and more.
On the home page, you can find the “hottest bets” section and see what’s currently popular to bet on – although check these out before you back them. Once you’ve selected your bets then head to the bet slip where you can find the different wagering and multiple bet options.
Overall we found the Intertops app to be decent.
#5 – Betway sports Canada app
Initially, we were really impressed with the Betway sports mobile app, its slick, sharp looking and performs well when placing bets. The disappointment came when we found it took 7 hours for our account to be approved – Major Downer! Once you’ve registered the disappointment is over though.
The app is packed with bonuses and offers. There’s a nice welcome bonus for new customers and ongoing promotions for existing customers that vary depending on events and different sports.
#6 – Ladbrokes Mobile App
Ladbrokes is another global company to feature in our list. They are owned by GVC partners who as listed on the London Stock Exchange. They also own Coral sports and other sports betting and casino brands.
Ladbrokes keeps things simple with a plain looking app with bold red colors following the brand’s colors. There are all the usual sports betting markets and offers, we just felt this app was lacking a bit of action and slickness compared to the others.
#7 – Energy Bet App
Energy bet is a relatively new company on this list but doesn’t look at that as a bad thing. They’ve won awards for their platform and we’d consider them as a rising star of the sports betting world!
However you want to fund your account will be fine on the Energy Bet App as they have over 16 different options, from the standard to the less known e-wallet systems (but not Bitcoin or other Crypto Currencies).
The mobile site has a dark theme with a white and yellow look. On the home page, you can find the latest live betting options and the days top 5 betting events. If you like betting on big games from the NBA, NFL or MLB then you’ll usually find them here.
#8 – Pinnacle Sports
Pinnacle is an interesting company to bet with as they advertise that they won’t block winning players and they don’t mind you using them for arbing. They are probably the only company in the world advertising this.
The platform is well designed and they promote themselves on having the lowest margins in the industry – which in turn means they have excellent odds too. If you place big wagers and you are a regular winner then Pinnacle is the app for you.
#9 – 888 Sports Mobile App
888 sport is the final sports book on our list and is another UK PLC – 888 holdings. Originally they were
better known for poker but have operated a global sportsbook for a while now. Their app is on a similar platform to others but didn’t seem to have anything unique or appealing about it.
We’re not saying it’s not a bad app, it just didn’t really grab us the same way as others further up the list did.
Best Casino Apps
As well as wagering on your phone you’ve now got a wide range of real money casino apps to pick from. These come from the major sports books as well as the dedicated casino companies. There are so many available to you, particularly from offshore companies, that we’ve just selected the top 3 from the ones we’ve tested and stuck to established brands that you will know and can trust.
#1 Jackpot City Casino App
If you watch major sports anywhere in Canada you’ll probably have seen the very flashy Jackpot City Casino App adverts during the breaks. You will be pleased to know that the company, and their casino app, live up to the expectation they create.
The app is, in our opinion, a perfect casino app. It’s packed with real money games and more slots than you’d ever need to play! There are over 300 slots games including the huge jackpot game “Mega Moolah” Which had a jackpot of over $10,000,000 when we were testing the app – unfortunately, we didn’t win it or we’d never have written this review!
As a new customer to Jackpot City, you can bag a welcome bonus when you register and make your first deposit. Tap the button below to visit Jackpot City and see the latest offer
What we also like about Jackpot City is they are not an offshore based company, they are licensed by the Kahnawake gaming commission. They have had a certificate of good standing since 2016 and are our top trusted casino app.
#2 – Mr. Green Casino App
Offshore operator Mr. Green pride themselves on their mobile platform. When setting up in 2007 Mr. Green built their platform with a mobile-first view. The mobile app is slick and optimized for both Android, iPhone and iPads and tablets. Its the integration of games is market leading and we are sure you will be impressed with all it has to offer you.
If you want to see the quality of Mr Green, check out the app or visit their site to see the awards that they have won. Here’s a selection of them –
- Gaming awards winner 2013, 2104, 2015, 2016 & 2017
- EGR awards 2016 & a double winner in 2017
The casino app also promotes responsible gambling for Canadian customers better than most. When you register, or at any time in my account on the app, you can set the following options
- Deposit limits – Set a maximum amount that you can deposit each week
- Loss Limit – Don’t lose track of time or your losses, set a limit to prevent and unexpected losses.
- Wagering limit – Mr Green also has sports betting and if you swap over and bet on the app

The National hockey league is one of the most popular leagues to bet on and there is a good range of markets to choose from for the knowledgeable fan. The standard bets are the puck line and the money line, the money line is simply who wins and the puck line is who wins with a handicap. Being a knowledgeable hockey fan is where you can start to find some value in the markets. Here are some of the other markets you can bet on in the NHL
- Over/ Under – This is set for the number of goals in a game where you can bet on if it goes over or under. It’s commonly around 4.5-6.5 depending on who’s playing.
- Regulation time – This is the winner at the end of the regulation time, not including overtime or shootouts, including the draw option.
- The first team, to score – Think you know who’s going to come flying out at the start? Then you can back which team scores first in a match.
- Double chance – This market allows you to bet on a team to win or draw (basically not to lose) and is set for the score at the end of regulation time.
- Alternate markets – There’s a range of odds on alternative markets for the under/ over bets and alternative puck line markets.
- Correct score – You can bet on the exact score of the match as well as the correct score for each period.
There are other markets to consider these are just the main ones. If you want any more details when you’re on your chosen sports betting app then scroll to the bottom and there’s usually a guide to the markets available.
