Rest of the world no 1 – betway app
The betway app has an in-depth cricket section and there are frequently offers specifically aimed at cricket fans that provide excellent value, in our opinion. There’s a dedicated ‘Live Now’ section giving you all the games that are taking place at that moment in time, as well as a section for all popular upcoming cricket events. Test matches, T20, One-day internationals etc. are all covered and are available to bet on.
There’s a huge array of markets to choose from, drilling right the way down to individual overs, so no matter what stage a particular match is in, there are still plenty of markets to browse and possibly select. Placing multiple cricket bets is quick and easy on the betway app and the bet slip makes the information clear to understand and is also very efficient at placing bets when instructed to do so.
You’ll also find the facility to cash out your bets early with betway. So if you lose confidence in your bet before it finishes, you may still have the possibility to cash out on a profit before the match has even ended. All in all, we find the Betway app fully justified sitting in our best cricket betting apps list and the app also handles well across most other popular sports too. It has a good reach across the globe with its service spreading across the globes to places such as the UK and India. Head to Betway today and check it out for yourself.
2 – bet365 App
Amongst the best cricket betting apps listed here, the bet365 app marks itself out for a couple of key reasons in our opinion. Firstly, the user-friendly interface includes a huge array of different betting options in terms of market type and tournaments/events, which are available to the customer by virtue of just a couple of clicks.
We were impressed with the level of choice here and found that we were able to bet on the following markets
- To win the match
- To win the toss
- Match handicaps
- Top team batsman
- Most runs by batsman
- Top team bowler
- Man of the match
- Match sixes
- Total match sixes
- Most run outs
- 1st Over total runs
- Race to 10 runs
- Player performance
- Team to make highest first 6 overs score
- 1st Wicket method
- Fall of first wicket
- Highest opening partnership
- A fifty to be scored in the match
- A hundred to be scored in the match
- Outright series winner
We also loved that bet365 has recently added cricket to their live streaming service (Geo-restrictions apply), so we could watch the action live straight from our mobile phone, tablet or desktop computer. All we needed was a funded account or to have a placed a bet within the last 24 hours with bet365 and various cricket fixtures became available to us to bet and watch (from within the UK).
We were quite excited to see that bet365 streamed events such as the Pakistan Super League cricket last year from UNAS. With bet365’s brand image going from strength to strength, our expectations are for their cricket live streaming affiliations to only get stronger
Geo-restrictions apply to the Live streaming service. Confirmed countries that were available to view the Pakistan Super League Cricket last year from the bet365 live streaming service were as follows; Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Guernsey, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, UK, Cyprus, Turkey, Macedonia.
3 – Paddy Power app
In our list of the best cricket betting apps comes the Paddy Power Sports app, which offers a multitude of different betting options across a huge number of matches and tournaments.
As well as this, what set this app apart from the lower ranked best cricket betting apps are the occasional special offers which the app provides related to specific events. For example, during the World T20 tournament, the app offered a money back if a match went to the final ball.
The Paddy Power app also offers a generous and mercifully simple new customer offer, which is that you will receive a £20 risk-free bet. The £20 stake is returned as cash as well – not free bets like most other offers. Significant terms from Paddy Power can be found below.
“Risk Free 20: New customers only, limited to one per person. If you’ve previously had a Paddy Power account, you will not qualify for the offer. Place your FIRST bet on any Sportsbook market and if it loses we will refund your stake in CASH. Max refund for this offer is €20. Only deposits made using Cards or Paypal will qualify for this promotion. T&Cs apply. Paddy’s Rewards Club: Get a €10 free bet when you place 5x bets of €10+. T&Cs apply.”
4 – Ladbrokes app
Another app which shines in our list of the best cricket betting apps is that offered by Ladbrokes, which also has a great variety of bets available and bundles of cricket news too.
What’s more, the app is easy to navigate and new customers can benefit from a free matched bet of up to £50.00 when they sign up.
5 – William Hill app
An app to consider amongst the five best cricket betting apps is that offered by William Hill. This is due to how easily a user can access the cricket betting options. It is also easy to understand and utilise the odds offered on a huge variety of markets. It is, therefore, one of the best apps for design and layout in our opinion.
Sign up today and get £30 in free bets once you have placed your first £10 bet!
New William Hill online customers only. Min. unit stake of £10/€10 at odds of 1/2 or greater. Only the “win” part from EW bets will count. Free bet terms, payment method & country restrictions apply. Others – Betfair app
When it comes to the best cricket betting apps, the Betfair app jumps ahead of many others for a number of reasons. Firstly, there are a vast variety of markets to bet on. Secondly, the app provides odds on;
- Test matches
- International Twenty20 matches
- The Ashes,
- The ICC Cricket World cup
Plus many, many more cricket competitions.
The only downfall to the Betfair app is that there are a lot of areas where this app is unavailable and therefore on a global scale this falls outside of our top 5 ratings.
New customers are also well rewarded with Betfair, There is always an offer available to entice you in. Check out Betfair’s latest offer from the button above or read our extensive review from the button below.

ICC World Cup 2019
We hardly have chance to catch our breath between the IPL and the T20 Mumbai finishing, to the World Cup starting. 2019 has been an excellent year for cricket and the top quality performances and excitement continues to roll on with this hugely coveted tournament getting underway. We will be keeping you up to date throughout the tournament with a daily short summary below.
Days 1, 2 & 3
England and South Africa got the tournament started and they didn’t disappoint. An entertaining match saw England deserved winners and the Windies followed that on with a sublime performance on day 2. Day 3 was a day for the Southern hemisphere, with New Zealand and Australia cruising to a comfortable victory against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan respectively.
Day four brought South Africa’s second game who were be looking for a win after losing to the tournament favourites on day one. Bangladesh have historically proven that they are capable of creating an upset and did so again on the biggest stage with a fine batting performance from all involved.
The game went on to become the first 100 over match of the tournament, with South Africa working hard to chase down a 330 total. Unfortunately they were only able to muster 309 after their allotted overs and in doing so conceded two points to the Bangladesh Tigers.
The advantage has now started to show with the opening batsmen as Pakistan punished England for whitewashing them in the ODI series by beating them at the World Cup, in their own back yard! A fine batting and fielding display by the men in green gave them a 14 run lead after 100 overs had been bowled. A very entertaining game indeed.
Afghanistan took on Sri Lanka, with both teams looking to pick up their first points of the tournament. It was the first game whereby the weather played a part. Rainfall reduced the game to a 41 over match. Despite Afghanistan picking up three wickets in one over, they were not able to put in the batting performance required and were all bowled out for 152 – 34 runs short (based on the DLS method).
Two matches occurred on day 7. India got their campaign started against a struggling South Africa team who had been hampered further by news of Dale Steyn becoming injured, resulting in the end of his World Cup.
South Africa won the toss and opted to bat but could only muster 227 after a fine display of both spin and pace from the Indian Bowlers. Despite India taking over 47 overs to get the job done, they always looked in control and a fine display of batting was shown by Rohit Sharma who knocked out 122 not out off 144 balls. Three losses on the bounce for South Africa means it is going to take something miraculous now from the Proteas to turn things around.
New Zealand took on Bangladesh and were faced with chasing down a 244 run total. A very entertaining match saw the Black Caps steadily creep towards and past the target set by the Tigers with just under three overs to spare. That win takes New Zealand top of the leaderboard and the togetherness of the team should be admired and also feared by those looking to replace them at the top of the tree.
The most entertaining match of the tournament so far, in my opinion. Australia narrowly beat The West Indies by 15 runs with sterling performances put on by both teams. Australia did a fantastic job of clocking up a run score of 288 after going down four wickets early on for just 38. A well disciplined Australian bowling performance restricted the West Indies ability to score and despite the West Indies hitting out desperately at the end, it was Australia who take the points.
A complete wipeout here with rain preventing one ball from being bowled. Points shared between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
England put on a fine display of batting to leave the Bangladesh Tigers with an overwhelming 386 runs to chase down. A great knock by Jason Roy saw him hit 153 runs of 121 runs. The only Englishman to achieve a higher score than that in World Cup is Andrew Strauss, who managed 158 against India in 2011. A sterling effort was shown by Bangladesh – Shakib Al Hasan in particular who made his own century (bowled for 121). However 386 was just to too big of a number and Bangladesh ended up all out for 280 after 48.5 overs. England pick up the two points.
New Zealand continued to look strong in their third match against and opted to field after winning the toss, which looked like the correct decision. After a nice bedding in opening partnership Zazai was the first to fall after 66 runs. From there the batting order collapsed, losing three more wickets for just 4 more runs leaving Afghanistan on 70/4. A total score of 172 was mustered which was easily acquired by the Black caps, despite Guptill being dismissed from the very first ball of the innings.
The Men in Blue (India) took on the baggy Greens (Australia) on a marvellous and typical English summer’s day. India showed they were here to compete after batting Australia all round the Oval, accumulating a first innings score of 352. A conservative approach to the second innings by Australia was their ultimate downfall and fell 36 runs short at the end of their allotted 50 overs. India take the two points and ruin Australia’s 100% win record from this tournament.
Another washout, causing the points to be shared. Seven and a half overs were bowled in the morning leaving South Africa on 29/2. However the rain started and never really stopped, causing disappointment to players and fans alike.
Not even a coin tossed today. The second day where the World Cup crowd failed to see one ball bowled. Game abandoned and one point each for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Australia took on Pakistan the green caps may well regret putting Australia straight in to bat as they got off to a good start and steadily progressed to over 300 runs before being bowled out on 49 overs. In comparison, Pakistan got off to a dreadful start with Zaman being caught for a duck after facing only three balls. Australia displayed a disciplined performance throughout and picked up two points after bowling Pakistan out for 266.
The third day of the tournament whereby not a single ball was bowled. This spoiled what could have been the match of the tournament so far, as both teams have been in sparkling form. This unfortunate circumstance caused both India and New Zealand to drop their first points of the World Cup, due to no fault of their own. You have to wonder whether it was the wisest move to have England and Wales as host nations! More rain is forecast over the weekend so get ready for more games ending up with the points shared.
The host nation, England faced the West Indies. A morale boosting convincing victory was needed in both camps, but it was England that achieved it. The West Indies batted first and openers started steady but the middle order and tail enders did not produce the goods at all, leaving England to chase down a measly 212. England cruised to the total with 8 wickets to spare in their 34th over. Another 2 points go to England.
Two matches today that pretty much went as expected. South Africa faced off against Afghanistan and proceeded in giving the Afghans a cricket lesson. Afghanistan were bowled out for only 125 and South Arica surpassed that score with only the loss of one wicket. Sri Lanka and Australia was a more tighter affair. However Australia did what they had to to ensure they walked away from the game with another 2 points. Australia set a batting score of 334, which was too much for the Sri Lankans to contend with. Sri Lanka were bowled out in the 46th over for 247.
Upcoming CWC19 fixtures
India v Pakistan
West Indies v Bangladesh

World Cup standings
Notable cricket action prior to the World Cup
The big action everybody was talking about leading up to the World Cup lay with the 5 match ODI series between England and Pakistan. England held a 4 match lead at the end of the series. However, some very big scores were being achieved from both sides and the final score of 4-0 may have flattered England slightly.
A big scare was witnessed in the fourth match with Imam Ul-Haq receiving a nasty blow to his elbow. Fortunately it doesn’t look like it was too serious and he has still managed to feature in the World Cup. However he hasn’t has the best start, being caught behind for just one run in Pakistan’s opening match against the West Indies.
A big congratulations to the North Mumbai Panthers on winning this year’s tournament. A solid performance in the final saw them bat first and set a large target. The Supersonics did a fantastic job of chopping the run count down. However it was all too much in the end and the Supersonics ended up getting all bowled out in the final stages.
A good tournament and one that is picking up quite a lot of traction throughout the cricket world. Here’s how this year’s championship ended
T20 Mumbai League table 2019
Semi final 1
North Mumbai Panthers 170/8 (20.0) v Arcs Andheri 166/6 (20.0)
Semi final 2
Sobo Supersonics 217/4 (20.0) v Aakash Tigers MWS 191/9 (20.0)
Sobo Supersonics 131/10 (19.4) v North Mumbai Panthers 143/7 (20.0)

When you first think of cricket betting you may just think of betting on the team to win the match, but there are far more betting markets than that on offer. For the major tournaments like the IPL or the test series, there’s a wide range of markets on offer. Why not mix your betting up and find the one that suits you?
Here’s our guide to Cricket betting!
Match result/ winner – The standard market of who will win the match or if it will be a draw. These can be combined as in multiple bets or accumulators.
1st wicket method betting – How will the first batsman fall? Select from
- Run Out
- Others (this is usually 100/1 plus and would need to be a very strange event like the player knocking the ball away from the stumps with their hand).
A fifty scored in the match? This is one more for the 20/20 games and is a yes/ no betting event. To win you need 1 player from either team to get a 50. As soon as that happens your bet should settle and your winning be paid out.
A hundred scored in the match – As above for any player to get a century.
Over under betting markets – We’ve covered all the markets in here as there’s a few of them. In simple terms, the bookmaker sets a number of runs and you bet if the team will go over or under that amount.
Over/ under cricket betting markets available
- Total Match Runs
- Individual Teams
- 1st/ 2nd innings
- Highest individual score
Top bowler for each team – Who will be the top performing bowler on the team? The odds will be shorter for the most likely bowlers.
Most runouts – Which team will have the most run outs in a match or will it be a tie.
Highest team first 6 overs (T20) – Who will get the most runs at the end of the first 6 overs.
Highest opening partnership – Who will score the most runs before the first wicket falls. This is on a team basis rather than an individual and there is an option for a tie.
Man of the match – Who will win the Man of the Match prize, mainly open for T20 betting and other major events and tournaments.
