The Fansbet app is no longer operational in the UK. Fansbet shut down in November 2022 after Argyll decided to surrender their UK license. Though the brand could come back with a new UK license, or with a new white label provider, that hasn’t been the case so far.

If you spend more time in casino apps compared to sportsbooks, then the 32Red app can be a perfect alternative to Fansbet.

32Red has an advanced casino section with an impressive level of variety. On the 32Red app, you can find almost all of the popular casino games and slots. There’s also a sportsbook present in the app and you can always switch between the two.

    2. Parimatch

Bet £10 Get £20 in Bonuses

Parimatch is one of our favourite betting apps with its modern interface and extensive support for niche betting categories. For example, Parimatch is one of the better apps for esports betting, and it also has a casino section.

Parimatch may not have the most competitive welcome bonuses, but they tend to be quite easy to claim and use afterwards. Once you sign up for the platform, you can also claim various other deals tied to specific sports and sections of Parimatch to make the most out of the platform.

    3. Kwiff

    Bet £10 Get a £30 Surprise Bet

We liked the Fansbet app, and one of the reasons was how polished it looked. That is also the case with Kwiff as it has a perfect looking app. Compared to other platforms, Kwiff has an app-first approach and this resulted in an optimised mobile experience.

Kwiff has a decent welcome bonus which leads the way to a detailed sportsbook and great casino section. The best part about the Kwiff app is the supercharge bonuses that can hit you at any second. This is called getting Kwiff’ed and once that happens, your odds get increased, boosting your potential payouts.

    Pros Cons

    4. SBK

Bet £10 get £40 in Free Bets

The SBK app is another mobile-focused betting platform. SBK focuses solely on its sportsbook and the app currently lacks a casino section. However, the sportsbook on SBK is excellent and the mobile experience on the platform also deserves recognition.

SBK has a great welcome bonus and there are also betting tips available on the app. This is a nice addition to a betting app, as it can notify you of opportunities that would miss out on otherwise.

    Pros Cons

The Betfred app is a staple in many UK punters’ app drawers and it’s for a good reason. Betfred has one of the most generous welcome offers, which makes it definitely worth a try.

Betfred mainly excels in horse racing and football. The platform’s mobile app features a simple design and Betfred also excels in live streaming alongside in-play betting options.

Why did Fansbet close down in the UK?

    Fansbet

Fansbet closed in the UK in November 2022, because their licensing operator Argyll Entertainment surrendered their UK gambling license. Fansbet was forced to cease UK operations as a direct consequence of Argyll's decision to shut down SportNation and RedZone.

Fansbet operated as a white label brand under Argyll's license, meaning they relied on Argyll to provide the legal framework for UK operations while owning the Fansbet brand themselves.

Will Fansbet return to the UK?

Fansbet could potentially return to the UK market if they secure their own UK Gambling Commission license or partner with a different white label operator. However, obtaining a new gambling license is a lengthy and expensive process. At the time of writing, Fansbet hasn’t made an official announcement regarding any plans involving a UK return.

    Fansbet app review

    Fansbet 1

During its prime, Fansbet was one of the most fun betting apps to use. Its most unique feature was that Fansbet would share some of punters’ winnings with the clubs and organisations that they supported.

Both the Fansbet app and the desktop version featured user-friendly interfaces. In addition to decent welcome offers on Fansbet, there used to be innovative and active bonuses/promos on the platform, which increased its value both for new and existing users.

    Fansbet app Casino and Sportsbook

When Fansbet was active, it featured a casino, sportsbook, and livesport sections. The sportsbook and the in-game betting experience was commendable and the real difference maker was Fansbet’s casino.

Fansbet’s casino tab had thousands of games, and also a superb live casino section. The platform collaborated with casino providers, like Evolution Gaming, during its time, while also ensuring that it featured the latest offerings in the industry.

    Fansbet App Welcome Offer

The new customer offers and bonuses on the Fansbet app generally required users to make deposits and then wager a certain amount. In return, the platform would offer cash rewards or free bets up to certain limits.

The Fansbet app generally featured easy-to-claim bonuses in its promos section, which allowed it to attract more users over time. While some punters were only there for the bonuses, there were others who liked what they saw in the app and decided to stay until Fansbet decided to stop its operations in the UK.
