The availability of Cash Out at BetMGM means that you are essentially in charge of your bet and how it ends.

In terms of a single bet, you may decide to close the bet in the third quarter of an NFL game or at halftime in a game of soccer. Or with a three-leg parlay bet, you may decide to Cash Out after the second game to reduce the risk of losing all of your potential winnings.

Another way BetMGM makes sure bettors are in control is through Edit My Bet.

As the name of the feature suggests, you can make various changes to your bet once it has been made. This includes adding, removing, or swapping a selection, and increasing your stake. Again, you’re in total charge of how your wager plays out.

To find out if a bet you’ve made is eligible to edit, go to ‘My Bets’ (the fourth tab along the bottom menu). Note that only bets you can Cash Out are available to edit.

The most popular method to use is PayPal, which processes your money within 24 hours.

Overall, BetMGM provides good support for its customers. However, if there is one criticism of the BetMGM app it’s the difficulty in trying to get to BetMGM Live Chat. There is no direct link,

To speak directly with somebody, you need to click the Help & Contact on the top right of your screen, select the best category in which your query falls and choose from a number of FAQS. Only then can you require more help, which is where you can access Live Chat.

If it sounds like a long-winded process, that’s because it is. You shouldn't have to jump through hoops to find support as a customer. Giving the feature a prominent place on the app would be the first recommendation. The addition of a phone number to call should also be a consideration for BetMGM.

Before you start betting, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the layout. Get used to where sports are listed, how you can bet on live events, and switch between the markets you can bet on. This is good advice if you’re a beginner especially.

On the homepage, you will find odds for the most popular games and events of the day. Prices are displayed for the most popular markets: Spread, Totals and Money Line. To make a selection, simply press one of three options. This is then added to your bet slip.

You can find more markets for a particular game, by selecting ‘All Wagers’. Here, you will find hundreds of different wagers for the same game arranged into categories. For example, when checking the lines on offer for an NBA game between Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets, we found Totals, Spreads, Halves/Quarters, Player Props, Game Props and the chance to place a One Game Parlay.

Once, you have decided on and selected your bets, go to your bet slip (along the center of the bottom tab) and enter a stake. The default amount is $50 but set it to the amount you can afford. Before you tap ‘Place Bet’, check over your bets and stake amount, then confirm your selection.
