Android Betting Apps

We've put forward out own review of the FanDuel Sportsbook app for Android, but here are a few other reviews from active users that average out to the 4.7/5 star rating:

April 23, 2022 - 'Very straightforward to use, works well, and is the only one that doesn't have irritating commercials.' 5/5

March 29, 2022 - 'I've used 3 different sportsbook apps and FanDuel is far and away the best one. Very easy to use, largest variety of betting options and consistent boosts and promos to take advantage of.' 5/5

December 13, 2021 - 'app can still be buggy (e.g. not remembering me when I get back on even though I've selected to remember me and use fingerprint recognition) but it's developed so much since I was last on 6 months ago and the betting is a much smoother process now.' 4/5

Caesars Sportsbook had a few blips with some older versions of the app, but its ranking has been improving since resolving some of the geo location problems. It sits at 4.1/5 stars, but we think it deserves slightly higher:

January 17, 2022 - 'Great! In NY and just signed up. All the promotions worked as advertised. Easy to use user interface. Like the boosted options and whatnot. Probably the best app I've signed up for out of an the ones that allow NY betting now.' 5/5

March 26, 2022 - 'Caesars went from maybe the worst sports book in Illinois to close to the top with this new version. They decided giving promos and odds boosts were good ideas and now this is my number 2 book in the state.' 5/5

January 18, 2022 - 'Sportsbook is amazing and bonuses are great. Let's see how long they last. However customer service is non existent. No phone contact available and 12 hours to wait for a rep on live chat and he was short with me and ended the chat before I asked my second question as i was in the middle of typing. All these new books in ny are good though so they better get people to answer their phones for customers concerns.' 3/5

Our experience with Bet365 has been pretty good on Android. We rate it highly as a betting app, and even though we rate it a bit higher than the Play Store average, the Android app does let it down a bit, down to 3.2/5 stars on the Play Store.

April 16, 2022 - 'Very Generous. All kinds of promotions and constant free bets. Edit: withdrawals are FREE and also extremely fast. Usually in my bank account within 24 hours.' 5/5

April 27, 2022 - 'Location detection is among the worst in the business. Lose out on live bets and overall bets because it doesn't detect your location at random times.' 3/5

• Disclaimer - This has not been our experience with bet365, and have found the location services in NJ to be fairly accurate with no lost bets, but we thought it was important to showcase this review as well. Naturally betting app reviews tend to be quite polarized as winning and losing actual bets might lead to negative feelings, but we review based on app performance in our experience, not how we preform when betting.

PointsBet has solidified a great 4.6/5 star rating on the Play Store with nearly 5,000 reviews. This is pretty close to what we think, so here's what other are saying:

April 17, 2022 - 'I think this might be my favorite sportsbook app. I just started using it today in the past I've tried DK, FD and MGM. I use FD sometimes but mostly MGM but I honestly love the feel of pointsbet and I plan on using it as my main sportsbook it is easy to place wagers and parlays and they have a ton of options for each game. The 1 issue I do have with it is when you are making your picks during live games it doesn't tell you how much time is left in the game or what period/quarter.' 5/5

April 21, 2022 - 'This is one of the few books that doesn't seem to have an issue with verifying my location. That alone makes it the best sports betting app, for me anyways.' 5/5

January 24, 2022 - 'It's pretty easy to navigate once you're in.My only quibble is that I couldn't use BOA to deposit funds and that when you are building a SGP and you change the page your selections are deleted, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.' 4/5

4.6/5 stars on the Play Store is pretty stellar, and in all honesty is just a bit higher than we would have thought for the Android app.

May 3, 2022 - 'The platform is awesome. Most promos and incentives of all of the sportsbook site. The app itself needs work. It's too hard to build parlays and you can't edit them in the slip page. You have to start all over to edit or reuse a parlay. Also, the layout is less friendly than competitors, making it a longer process to place bets.' 4/5

DraftKings Sportsbook has a well deserved 4.5/5 on the Play Store, and in our opinion the main negatives for this betting app are not actually the app. See what others are saying:

December 3, 2021 - 'very easy to use app great bonuses great after sign up bonuses quick payouts and plenty of things along the line to help you figure out what you're doing. this is a top notch app and for very little you can try it out and stretch your money over a ton of bets. they also have free bets and free contests as well as pools that you can actually receive a payout from. I would recommend this to everyone to give it a shot.' 5/5

March 8, 2022 - 'I previously wrote a negative review but I think they've turned it around. The experience is smoother now and they have graphics showing current game. Plus, they have integrated the casino portion, just like FanDuel. Great experience with lots of offers.' 5/5

November 13, 2021 - 'I've tried basically all of the prominent sports betting platforms and DK is the one I always come back to. Every type of bet imaginable is offered I'm yet to find another platform even close to offering the huge variety of bets found on DK. They've got the best user interface in the industry, very user friendly. However they need to start using whoever everyone else uses for location verification, because their inability to consistently verify locations is the only thing holding them back.' 4/5
