Top Betting Apps for Football

Your Guide to Football Betting Apps
Football is the biggest betting sport in America, and every sportsbook wants to be your go-to app on game day. While FanDuel and DraftKings get most of the attention, they're far from your only options. Many betting apps cover the NFL and college football well, but the overall experiences differ.
Some sportsbooks excel at live betting, others have better same game parlay builders, while a few stand out because of deeper player props, stronger promotions, or unique rewards.
Rather than simply ranking the biggest names, we focused on apps that are lesser-known but have all the features football bettors want. You've probably tried at least one of the main two, but there are plenty more worth trying.
Our team tested each app across key categories including betting markets, same-game parlays, live betting, promotions, and overall user experience. Whether you're betting on the NFL, college football, or even CFL, this guide will help you find the football betting app that best matches your style.

Most Important Features
Football naturally creates breaks between plays, drives, and quarters, which makes it one of the easiest sports to follow while betting live. Odds can still change quickly after a touchdown, turnover, injury, or big play, so the app itself matters.
The best football betting apps make it easy to find updated spreads, totals, player props, and drive-specific markets without losing track of the game. A good live tracker is another big plus, especially when you're following several college football or NFL games at once.
There is a lot happening during a football game, especially when you're betting player props or following multiple wagers. Having live stats and game information inside the sportsbook makes it much easier to see where your bets stand.
The best apps provide live scores, player stats, play-by-play updates, and betting information without forcing you to constantly switch over to another app. Some take this even further with matchup information and additional stats before kickoff.
Football has become one of the biggest sports for same-game parlays because so many markets can be tied together. You might combine a team's spread with a quarterback passing prop, a receiver touchdown, and the game total all in one bet.
However, SGP builders aren't equal across every app. We look for sportsbooks with deep player prop selections, flexible combinations, alternate lines, and an easy-to-use builder that doesn't make finding each leg a chore.

Top Apps for Football Betting
Football is where betting apps tend to show off their biggest features. NFL Sundays can mean following several games, player props, and parlays at once, while Saturdays bring an even larger college football slate. The best apps need to make all of that easy to manage.
Our top picks stand out in different areas, including injury protection, live betting, same game parlays, player props, and football-specific promotions. We also looked at how well each app handles both the NFL and college football rather than judging them on NFL betting alone.
If football is one of your main sports to bet on, these are the apps that give you the most to work with throughout the season.
1. Fanatcis Sportsbook
Fair Play protects NFL player props from first-half injuries
Strong player prop and same game parlay experience
Football wagers can earn FanCash
Live betting isn't as deep as Bet365
Less customizable lines than Hard Rock Bet
Can be heavily focused on NFL over college football
Fanatics is particularly strong for NFL player prop betting. Its Fair Play feature automatically protects eligible NFL props when a player leaves injured during the first or second quarter. Straight wagers are refunded in cash, while affected parlay legs can be voided so the rest of the bet remains alive. That's especially valuable for football, where an early injury can otherwise ruin a prop before it has much of a chance.
The app also makes it easy to move between game lines, player props, and same-game parlays during a busy NFL Sunday. It even was the winner of our same game parlay test. Fanatics isn't quite as feature-heavy for football as some competitors, but the combination of Fair Play and a strong prop experience makes it one of the better options for bettors who build their action around individual players.

BET MATCHES: Apply promotion in bet slip and place a $1+ cash wager (min odds -200) daily for 10 consecutive days starting day of account creation. FanCash rewards will equal the qualifying wager amount (max $100 FanCash/day). FanCash issued in connection with this Promotion expires 24 hours from issuance.
BET & GET: Must toggle on this promotion in your bet slip and wager $20+ cash on any market (min. odds -500) within 7 days of account opening to receive $50 in FanCash each day for your first 7 days. Must opt in each day to claim FanCash. FanCash issued in connection with this Promotion expires 24 hours from issuance.
See full T&C at Fanatics.
2. Bet365
Early Payout applies when your NFL or NCAAF team goes up 17 points
Deep pregame and live football markets
Same Game Parlays are available during live betting
Stats experience isn't as strong as theScore Bet
Large football menus can become cluttered
Fewer unique parlay formats than Hard Rock Bet
Bet365 is one of the better choices for bettors who want to keep wagering after kickoff. Its football menu goes well beyond spreads and totals, with player props, alternate lines, special teams markets, Same Game Parlays, and a large selection of live bets. It makes sense why it was the winner of our live betting test. SGPs can even be built using eligible live markets, which adds another option once the game is underway.
The biggest football-specific advantage is Early Payout. For both NFL and college football, eligible pregame moneyline bets are settled as winners once your team takes a 17-point lead. It also applies to qualifying parlay and SGP legs, which are marked as winners while the rest of the ticket continues.
Bet365 Bonus
21+. New customers only. Offer available in AZ/CO/IL/IA/ KY/LA/MO/NC/OH/TN/VA. Different offer(s) available in IN/MI/NJ/PA. $10 first deposit required within 30 days. With the Safety Net offer, loss is refunded as bonus bets up to $1,000. Bonus issued as non-withdrawable bonus bets that expire in 7 days. Bonus Bets wager excluded from returns. See full T&C at Bet365. Promo code is used for marketing and tracking purposes only. #ad
3. theScore Bet
Excellent integration with live football scores and stats
Automatically track bets alongside the game
Personalized markets based on favorite teams and leagues
Fewer football-specific betting features than the top two
Parlay tools aren't as unique as Hard Rock Bet
Betting experience is split between theScore and theScore Bet
theScore Bet takes a different approach to football. Its biggest advantage comes from its connection with theScore media app, which already specializes in scores, news, and statistics. The Bet Section can surface markets based on your favorite teams and leagues, while placed wagers can be tracked alongside real-time cash-out offers.
That setup works particularly well during football season. Instead of constantly bouncing between a sportsbook and a scores app on Saturday or Sunday, bettors can follow stats, scores, and their wagers through the same ecosystem. theScore Bet doesn't have as many unique football betting tools as Fanatics or Hard Rock Bet, but its live information and bet tracking are among its biggest strengths.

theScore Bet Bonus
Get a First Bet Reset up to $1,000
New users only, must be 21+ and physically present in AZ/CO/DC/IA/IL/IN/KS/KY/ LA/MA/MD/MI/MO/NC/NJ/OH/PA/TN/VA/WV.
$10+ minimum deposit required. Qualifying wager must settle as a loss to receive refund. Refund paid out as five (5) Bonus Bets worth 20% of the qualifying wager. Max. $1,000 issued as non-withdrawable Bonus Bets that expire in 7 days (168 hours).
Terms: sportsbook.thescore.bet/promotions. Ends 8/1/26 at 5:59 AM ET.
4. Hard Rock Bet
Flex Parlay can still pay when some legs lose
SGP Max combines SGPs from multiple football games
Live player prop tracking directly in the betslip
Parlay-heavy layout won't appeal to every football bettor
Fewer unique protections than Fanatics or Bet365
Football futures aren't as prominently featured
Hard Rock Bet is the most interesting option on this list for football parlay bettors. SGP Max allows you to combine Same Game Parlays from multiple games onto one ticket, while Flex Parlay gives bettors the option to create parlays that can still return a payout when a specified number of selections lose. That's a useful combination when you're building tickets across an entire Sunday slate rather than focusing on one matchup.
Hard Rock has also improved the experience after the bet is placed. Live player prop tracking shows progress directly in the betslip, while live SGPs give bettors more ways to build parlays after kickoff. If parlays are your preferred way to bet on the NFL, Hard Rock Bet offers some of the most flexible tools available.

Hard Rock Bet Bonus
21+. New customers only. AZ, CO, IL, IN, MI, NJ, OH, TN, VA only. Eligibility restrictions apply.
Sign up for Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, deposit, and place a first cash bet of $5+. First $20 Bonus Bet awarded after eligible bet placement (Day 1). Second $20 Bonus Bet awarded 7 days after eligible bet placement (Day 8). Third $20 Bonus Bet awarded 14 days after eligible bet placement (Day 15). Fourth $20 Bonus Bet awarded 21 days after eligible bet placement (Day 22). Fifth $20 Bonus Bet awarded 28 days after eligible bet placement (Day 29). First bet only. Min odds -500. Bonus Bets issued on settlement, expire in 7 days. Valid on eligible markets only. Stake not returned. Early Cash Out voids eligibility. 5. Caesars Sportsbook
Deep live drive and play-by-play markets
Flex Parlay adds another way to build football parlays
Pre-made football parlays with longshot odds
Player prop navigation can feel crowded
Football menus can require plenty of scrolling
Fewer standout injury-protection features than Fanatics or Bet365
Caesars Sportsbook is a strong option for football bettors who want plenty to choose from before and during games. NFL matchups come with deep player prop menus covering passing, rushing, receiving, touchdowns, and alternate lines, while the sportsbook also provides extensive college football coverage. There are enough markets here to go well beyond simply betting the spread or total.
Live betting is another strength, with updated game lines, totals, and player markets available throughout the action. Caesars also regularly features football-specific odds boosts and promotions during the season. The biggest drawback is navigation, as games with hundreds of available markets can require a lot of scrolling to find exactly what you're looking for.

Caesars Sportsbook Bonus

More Apps for Football Betting
The five apps above are our favorites for football, but they aren't the only ones worth using. BetMGM, BetRivers, and Bally Bet all have enough NFL and college football coverage to handle the basics, including spreads, totals, player props, futures, and same game parlays.
Where they lose some ground is in the extra features. BetMGM has deep football markets and plenty of player props, but doesn't offer as many unique football tools as our top picks. BetRivers keeps things relatively straightforward, while Bally Bet covers the major markets without offering the same depth you'll find from apps like Bet365 or Caesars.
For bettors who mostly stick to NFL game lines, college football spreads, props, and occasional parlays, there's nothing wrong with using any of these apps. The sportsbooks higher on our list simply give football bettors more reasons to choose them over the course of an entire season

Why We Skipped FanDuel & DraftKings
FanDuel and DraftKings are the two biggest names in football betting, and there's plenty of reason for it. Both have huge NFL betting menus, deep player props, strong same-game parlays, and plenty of options for college football. If we were ranking purely by market share or popularity, they would obviously be near the top.
But that's not what we're trying to do with this page. Most football bettors already know what FanDuel and DraftKings offer, so another ranking with those two automatically sitting at the top doesn't add much. Instead, we're highlighting apps like Fanatics, Bet365, theScore Bet, Hard Rock Bet, and Caesars that bring their own strengths to football betting.
FanDuel and DraftKings are still excellent choices, and we aren't suggesting otherwise. We're simply using our rankings to show bettors what else is out there rather than repeating the same two recommendations they'll find almost everywhere else.

Promos for Football Betting
Football is where sportsbooks tend to bring out their best promotions. NFL Sundays and major college football Saturdays generate huge betting volume, so apps have plenty of incentive to offer profit boosts, parlay promos, bet protection, and football-specific specials throughout the season.
The biggest offers usually arrive around marquee games, the College Football Playoff, and especially the Super Bowl. However, you don't have to wait for a major event. Many of the best betting promos are available every week during football season.
🛡️ Player Injury Protection
Nothing kills a player prop faster than an injury in the first quarter. A few sportsbooks have started offering protection specifically for this situation.
Fanatics' Fair Play is one of the best examples. Eligible NFL player prop bets can receive protection when a player leaves with an injury during the first or second quarter and doesn't return. Depending on the bet, that can mean a cash refund or having the affected leg voided from a parlay.
⚡ Early Payout Offers
Early payout promos can turn a big lead into a winning ticket before the final whistle.
Bet365 offers this for football, settling eligible NFL and college football moneyline bets as winners when your team takes a 17-point lead. It doesn't matter if the other team eventually comes back and wins the game; once the early payout is triggered, your original bet has already won.
🎯 Profit & Parlay Boosts
Profit boosts are everywhere during football season. Sportsbooks commonly offer boosts for NFL games, college football matchups, same-game parlays, and specific player props.
Parlay bettors tend to get even more attention. Sunday slates are perfect for combining picks across several games, so you'll regularly see SGP boosts, multi-game parlay boosts, and enhanced odds designed specifically around football.
🏈 Weekly Football Specials
Some of the best football promos aren't traditional boosts at all. Sportsbooks have experimented with free-to-play contests, parlay insurance, early-win offers, special touchdown markets, and other promotions that only appear during football season.
These offers can change from week to week, which makes checking the promotions tab particularly worthwhile before betting on Saturday or Sunday.
🔥 Odds Boosts on Player Props
Touchdown scorers are some of the most commonly boosted markets during football season. Sportsbooks frequently enhance the odds on star quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers during primetime games.
You'll also find boosted odds for passing, rushing, and receiving props, particularly around high-profile matchups. The important thing is to compare the boosted price with the normal market rather than assuming every advertised boost automatically represents good value.
Weekly NFL Promos
Super Bowl Betting
The Super Bowl is in a category of its own when it comes to football betting. Even people who barely place a wager during the regular season get involved, and sportsbooks respond by offering far more markets and promotions than you'll find for a normal NFL game.
The betting menu goes well beyond the spread, moneyline, and total. Super Bowl betting apps typically load up on player props, touchdown scorers, alternate lines, same-game parlays, and hundreds of game-specific markets. Futures also become important in the weeks leading up to the game, with odds available on the eventual champion, conference winners, and potential Super Bowl matchups.
Promotions ramp up too. Betting apps compete heavily for bettors during Super Bowl week, so this is when you'll typically see some of the most aggressive odds boosts, profit boosts, parlay offers, and special markets of the entire football season.
The sheer number of options is what makes Super Bowl betting different. You can keep things simple with the spread or moneyline, build a same game parlay around several players, or bet individual props that would never be offered for an ordinary regular season matchup. There are also dozens of novelty props for the Super Bowl that vary by betting app. These are things such as the coin toss, National Anthem length, or even Gatorade color.
For football bettors, or bettors in general, there isn't another single game that gets this much attention from betting apps.
Football Betting Apps FAQs
Several major betting apps now protect NFL player props from early injuries. Fanatics Fair Play covers eligible props when a player leaves injured during the first half, refunding straight bets in cash and voiding the affected leg of parlays. Bet365 Prop Protect also covers qualifying NFL player props through the end of the first half, although straight-bet refunds are paid in Bonus Bets.
DraftKings Early Exit provides cash credit on eligible NFL player props when a player exits due to injury during the first half and doesn't return, with qualifying parlay legs removed and the odds recalculated. FanDuel Bet Protect has also covered eligible NFL player props when a player suffers a first-quarter injury, issuing Bonus Bets for qualifying straight wagers and repricing affected parlays.
The exact coverage and refund method varies by sportsbook, so it's worth checking the rules before placing player props.
Fanatics Sportsbook is our top overall pick for football betting. Its combination of deep NFL player props, same-game parlays, and Fair Play injury protection gives it features that are particularly useful during football season. Bet365, theScore Bet, Hard Rock Bet, and Caesars are also among our top choices
Fanatics and Caesars are two of the strongest options for NFL player props. Both offer extensive passing, rushing, receiving, and touchdown markets, including alternate lines. Fanatics gets an extra edge from Fair Play, which provides protection on eligible props when a player leaves with an injury early in the game.
Yes. Legal football betting apps typically offer live betting for both NFL and college football games. You can find updated spreads, moneylines, totals, and other markets throughout the game, with some apps also offering live player props and same-game parlays. It's smart to look for an app that specializes in live betting, such as Bet365.
Hard Rock Bet stands out for football parlays because of features like SGP Max and Flex Parlay. SGP Max lets you combine same-game parlays from multiple games, while Flex Parlays can still produce a payout when a specified number of legs lose.
Bet365 is one of our favorite options for college football because of its deep game markets, live betting, and Early Payout feature. Caesars and Fanatics also provide extensive coverage throughout the season, including major conferences, futures, and the College Football Playoff.
Bet365 offers Early Payout on eligible NFL and college football moneyline bets. If your team takes a 17-point lead at any point, the wager is settled as a winner even if the team later gives up the lead.

Sports have always been a major part of my life. I played football and basketball, and I'm an avid golfer. My love for sports naturally led to a passion for sports betting, which I've been doing for 8 years. Initially, I relied on offshore bookies in Oregon, but since the approval of legitimate sites in 2022, I understand the importance of using reliable betting apps. As a strong advocate for smart sports betting, I aim to guide bettors in the right direction.
I hold a Writing degree from Oregon State and a journalism certificate from Palomar College. My goal has always been sports journalism, and writing in the sports betting industry allows me to combine my skills and interests. So far, it has led me to some cool places, such as becoming a voter for the Maxwell Award (College Football Player of the Year).
