We only get the Winter Games and Team Canada every four years so it's good to be ready before the games start!
Ive used my experience betting on the NHL and various international markets to nail down my top app recommendations for betting on Team Canada's matchups. These are the same apps I will be using when the games kick off on February 6th!
Apps We Use for Olympic Hockey Betting
This year has extra hype because the NHL players are allowed to play again for the first time since 2014. We're now back to the best players in the world going head to head in an Olympic tournament with the Gold medal at stake. Im excited!
I've saved you the research and created a short list of my favourite betting apps for betting on Team Canada when the men's and women's tournaments get started!
Bet365

Team Canada on Bet365
I recommend Bet365 a lot, but it's a testament to the brand and how well they do so many different things. The app interface is really simple and doesn't glitch out, so it feels like a strong, reliable app as you use it.
It always offers good promos for early payouts when teams you wager on go up by 2 goals or more, you get paid out as a winner before the game ends. This promo is something I always think about when deciding which app to use to bet moneylines or spreads.
Bet365 would be the first app I download if I were new to hockey betting for the Olympics. It's really easy to learn and has great promos for new and returning users.
Sports Interaction

Sports Interaction Hockey Betting
Sports Interaction is billed as Canada’s homegrown sportsbook, with a natural focus on popular Canadian teams and events. I know I will be able to count on Sports Interaction to have deep hockey markets and plenty of props for the Olympic Games.
Using a Canadian brand to bet on Team Canada makes sense to me from a synergy standpoint as well. Not only do they have a great in-play betting setup and game tracker that updates quicker than the ESPN app, but it also feels right to be using a Canadian brand.
Bet99

Back Team Canada with Bet99
Another Canadian-facing sportsbook I use is Bet99. When Team Canada is playing on the big stage, I trust Bet99 to have those games front and centre with all the main markets covered. Moneylines, puck lines, and totals are all featured and easy to find without scrolling around and wasting time.
I also like that Bet99 keeps things simple during live games. The app runs smoothly, live odds update quickly, and it’s easy to jump in with an in-play bet when momentum shifts. There’s a visible difference in using a Canadian brand for a Canadian event. More markets and angles are covered, and you can trust that they know hockey and will deliver a solid Olympic betting experience.
Betway

Betway Olympic Hockey
Betway is a global brand with markets around the world, so it always offers great hockey markets because of hockey’s global presence. It's another app I always check first to see what their odds and Olympic markets look like.
They have options for both the men’s and women’s tournaments, so you can place wagers on each. They’ll only have futures available until we get closer to the kick-off of the Winter Games, then the markets will expand to include spreads, totals, lines, and a bunch of play props for pre- and in-play betting.
PowerPlay

PowerPlay Olympic Hockey
PowerPlay is a Canadian betting app, making it a natural place to check when it's Olympic hockey time. Hockey is clearly one of their priorities, and it usually shows in how quickly the Olympic markets go up and how easy they are to find. It’s one of the first apps I open just to see what the futures look like and how they’re pricing Team Canada early on.
They cover both the men’s and women’s tournaments, which is nice if you follow international hockey beyond just the marquee matchups. Once the tournament is underway, there will be enough markets available to bet pre-game or live without having to jump between apps.
What to know for the olympics
NHL Player Return to the Olympics
If it feels like the excitement surrounding the Olympic hockey team has ramped up this year, that's because it has. For the first time since 2014, NHL players will be allowed to participate and represent their home nations.
This year's new four-nations tournament, played between the US, Canada, Sweden, and Finland, showed how much it means to the players to wear their countries' uniforms.
After getting fully into the four-nations tourney, we couldn't be more excited for the Olympics to begin so we can watchthe best hockey players in the world go head to head.
Having a more intimate knowledge of the players from years of watching them in the NHL should make it easier to find some good lines or predict the game flow. I, for one, am most excited about finally watching Connor McDavid compete in his first Winter Games.

Popular Player Props
Over/Under Assists
- This is a popular prop for the main playmakers that always seem to have their nose in the action like Connor McDavid or Sidney Crosby
Shots on Goal
- It can be tricky to predict which players will get the most shots, especially on a star-studded team like Canada's. I trust a guy like Nathan MacKinnon to not only get shots off, but get shots on frame and on goal.
Goalie Saves
- Jordan Binnington is a machine in goal, so I always like his over when it comes to saves. One thing to remember, however, is when Canada plays a lower level country, there may not be as many shots on goal for Binnington to save. Keep this in mind while you browse bets.
