Hard Rock Bet Joins the Land Based Hotel & Casino in Ontario

Hard Rock opened a landbased Hotel and Casino in Ottawa in 2025 and has not received registration for it to enter the iGaming market with its mobile betting platform.

Ontario operates a dual-approval process where sportsbooks must acquire approval from the AGCO, which it has, but must also reach a commercial agreement with iGaming Ontario. This part of the process is considered a formality at this point but it is keeping Hard Rock bet from officially announcing a date for its mobile platform launch.

Once the agreement with iGaming Ontario is reached, it is believed that Hard Rock will make its mobile betting app available soon after and is expected to be in 2026.

Pre-Registration

With Hard Rock’s physical location, it is expected that Hard Rock Bet should be able to build a user base through its well-known branding and familiarity as a long time casino operator. Keep an eye out for pre-registration promos as well as an announcement for welcome offers for its new users.

What Does Hard Rock Bet Offer?

When Hard Rock Bet arrives in Ontario, bettors will find a sportsbook built with parlay fans in mind. The app is known for its deep player prop markets, giving you plenty of options to dig deep and create some parlays based around your favourite teams and athletes.

Same-game parlays and easy-to-use bet builders are a key feature, while live betting lets you jump in on the action as games unfold.

Hard Rock Bet also regularly features odds boosts, especially on parlays, helping users squeeze a little more value from their picks. While Ontario-specific promotions haven't been confirmed yet, a welcome bonus for new users will likely be part of the launch package.

What will users find on the Hard Rock Bet App?

  • Live betting
  • Bet builder for parlays & multis
  • Same game parlays
  • Odds Boosts
  • Cash out feature
  • Popualr Deposit & Withdrawal options: Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Interac

Ontario Sports Betting Continues to Grow

Ontario has been Canada’s only open, competitive iGaming market since April 2022 since 2022 (with Alberta joining them in July, 2026) and currently has 44 licensed operators with around 76 registered websites and sportsbooks coming from those operators.

The Ontario market generated $4 billion in revenue in 2025, up 34% year-on-year, one of the stronger growth trajectories among regulated North American digital markets.

With new sportsbooks like Hard Rock continuing to join Ontario, the growth and revenue for the province is expected to continue to rise.

Growing up in New England, it was pretty much impossible for me not to become a huge sports fan. Winters were spent snowboarding all morning then watching the Patriots win in the afternoons, so I never really had a choice. Now, I get to turn that passion into my work by writing about the sports betting world and helping Canadian bettors find the best betting apps for their needs. My goal is to break things down in a clear, honest, and approachable way, so readers feel confident and informed before placing a bet, like getting advice from a friend who’s already done the homework.
